The covalent modification of proteins by the small ubiquitin (UBB; MIM 191339)-like protein SUMO (see SUMO1, MIM 601912) is implicated in the regulation of nucleocytoplasmic transport, genomic stability, gene transcription, and other processes. HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY SENP1 (RC207194, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-SENP1.
