Target NameHomo sapiens peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor delta (PPARD), transcript variant 1
Alternative NameFAAR; NR1C2; NUC1; NUCI; NUCII; PPARB
Database LinkNP_006229
Entrez Gene 5467 Human
FunctionThe Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptors (PPARs) are members of the nuclear hormone receptor subfamily of transcription factors. PPARs form heterodimers with retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and these heterodimers regulate transcription of various genes. There are 3 known subtypes of PPARs, PPAR alpha, PPAR delta and PPAR gamma. PPAR gamma is believed to be involved in adipocyte differentiation.

HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY PPARD (RC214735, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-PPARD.
