|The ASPM gene is the human ortholog of the Drosophila melanogaster 'abnormal spindle' gene (asp), which is essential for normal mitotic spindle function in embryonic neuroblasts (Bond et al., 2002). Immunohistochemistry: ASPM Antibody - Most of the normal tissues displayed moderate cytoplasmic positivity which was occasionally accompanied with nuclear staining. Strong cytoplasmic staining was seen in gall bladder and in stomach while adrenal cortex, hepatocytes and bone marrow poietic cells also showed strong nuclear positivity. Neuronal and lymphoid tissues were generally weakly stained or negative. Malignant tissues exhibited weak to moderate cytoplasmic immunoreactivity.
