FunctionThe protein encoded by this gene is a type I integral membrane protein localized in the intermediate region between the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi, presumably recycling between the two compartments. The protein is a mannose-specific lectin and is a member of a novel family of plant lectin homologs in the secretory pathway of animal cells. Mutations in the gene are associated with a coagulation defect. Using positional cloning, the gene was identified as the disease gene leading to combined factor V-factor VIII deficiency, a rare, autosomal recessive disorder in which both coagulation factors V and VIII are diminished. WB Image
HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY LMAN1 (RC207088, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-LMAN1.

WB Image
Western blot analysis of extracts (35ug) from 9 different cell lines by using anti-LMAN1 monoclonal antibody.

IF Image
Anti-LMAN1 mouse monoclonal antibody (TA502110) immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected by pCMV6-ENTRY LMAN1(RC207088).
