|Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein which comprises about one-half of the blood serum protein.Albumin functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormonesand plays a role in stabilizing extracellular fluid volume. Albumin is a globular unglycosylatedserum protein of molecular weight 65,000. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbuminwhich has an N-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from therough endoplasmic reticulum. The product, proalbumin, is in turn cleaved in the Golgi vesicles toproduce the secreted albumin.|

HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY ALB (RC205943, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-ALB.
Western blot analysis of extracts (35ug) from 9 different cell lines by using anti-ALB monoclonal antibody.
Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Human liver tissue using anti-ALB mouse monoclonal antibody. (Heat-induced epitope retrieval by Tris-EDTA, pH8.0, TA500104)
Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Carcinoma of Human liver tissue using anti-ALB mouse monoclonal antibody. (Heat-induced epitope retrieval by Tris-EDTA, pH8.0, TA500104)
