Function	UDP-glucose:glycoprotein glucosyltransferase (UGGT1) is a soluble protein of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) that recognizes glycoproteins with minor folding defects and reglucosylates single N-glycans near the misfolded part of the protein (1, 2). Reglucosylated proteins are recognized by calreticulin for recycling to the ER and refolding or degradation (2).
