Homo sapiens protein kinase, DNA-activated, catalytic polypeptide (PRKDC), transcript variant 2
Synonyms:
DNA-PKcs; DNAPK; DNPK1; HYRC; HYRC1; p350; XRCC7
Immunogen
A phospho specific peptide corresponding to residues surrounding serine 2612 of human DNA-PK/PRKDC was used as an immunogen. This antibody only detects DNA-PK/PRKDC phosphorylated at serine 2612.
Buffer
Store at -20 °C. Buffer: Antibody buffer, sodium azide, glycerol, and BSA. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.
DNA-PK/PRKDC, the catalytic subunit of the DNA-dependent protein kinase, is a member of the PI3/PI4-kinase family. It functions with the Ku70/Ku80 heterodimer protein in DNA double strand break repair and recombination (1). Autophosphorylation of DNA-PK correlates with loss of protein kinase activity and dissociation of the DNA-PKcs-Ku complex. DNA-PK phosphorylates Hsp90, p53 and c-Jun (2,3).

Western blot analysis on LnCaP cell lysates using anti-Phospho-DNA-PK/PRKDC (pS2612) RabMAb. Cells were either (A,C) untreated or (B,D) treated with alkaline phosphatase (AP).<br>Lane C and D were probed using pan DNA-PK/PRKDC RabMAb
