In developing neurons, CRMPs mediator growth cone collapse in response to repelling guidance cues, such as semaphorin 3A or lysophosphatidic acid (1). Thus, CRMP-3 is involved in remodeling of the cytoskeleton. It also plays a role in axon guidance, neuronal growth cone collapse and cell migration (2). |
