FANCC is a DNA repair protein that may operate in postreplication repair or a cell cycle checkpoint function. It may be implicated in interstrand DNA cross-link repair and in the maintenance of normal chromosome stability. Hsp70 requires the cooperation of FANCC to suppress PKR activity and support survival of haematopoietic cells and FANCC does not require the multimeric Fanconi anemia complex to exert this function.

HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control or pCMV6-ENTRY FANCC (RC204871) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-FANCC.
