YAP (Yes-Associated Protein) is a founding member of the WW domain family of proteins, transcriptional co-activator and oncogene. Its gene is transcriptionally activated in squamous cell carcinoma cells. As one of several genes of 1q22 amplicon, YAP was recently implicated in liver and breast cancer. Overexpression of YAP gene in MCF10A mammary cell line induces oncogenic transformation.

HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control or pCMV6-ENTRY YAP1 (RC214393) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-YAP1.
