|PHLDA1 is an evolutionarily conserved proline-histidine rich nuclear protein. It may play an important role in the anti-apoptotic effects of insulin-like growth factor-1 (1). PHLDA1 seems to be involved in the regulation of apoptosis during neuronal development and detachment-mediated apoptosis. It may be involved in translational regulation. PHLDA1 is widely expressed with highest levels in pancreas (2).|
