Reference Data

Target NameHomo sapiens neuroblastoma RAS viral (v-ras) oncogene homolog (NRAS)
Alternative NameALPS4; CMNS; N-ras; NCMS; NRAS1; NS6
Database LinkNP_002515
Entrez Gene 4893 Human
FunctionThis is an N-ras oncogene encoding a membrane protein that shuttles between the Golgi apparatus and the plasma membrane. This shuttling is regulated through palmitoylation and depalmitoylation by the ZDHHC9-GOLGA7 complex. The encoded protein, which has intrinsic GTPase activity, is activated by a guanine nucleotide-exchange factor and inactivated by a GTPase activating protein. Mutations in this gene have been associated with somatic rectal cancer, follicular thyroid cancer, autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome, Noonan syndrome, and juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia. HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY NRAS (RC202681, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-NRAS.
Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Adenocarcinoma of Human colon tissue using anti-NRAS mouse monoclonal antibody. (Heat-induced epitope retrieval by 10mM citric buffer, pH6.0, 120C for 3min, TA505835)
