Reference Data

Target NameHomo sapiens electron-transfer-flavoprotein, beta polypeptide (ETFB), transcript variant 2
Alternative NameFP585; MADD
Database LinkNP_001014763
Entrez Gene 2109 Human
Entrez Gene 110826 Mouse
Entrez Gene 292845 Rat
Entrez Gene 719606 Monkey
FunctionThis gene encodes electron-transfer-flavoprotein, beta polypeptide, which shuttles electrons between primary flavoprotein dehydrogenases involved in mitochondrial fatty acid and amino acid catabolism and the membrane-bound electron transfer flavoprotein ubiquinone oxidoreductase. The gene deficiencies have been implicated in type II glutaricaciduria. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
