|Hearing impairment is a heterogeneous condition with over 40 loci described. The protein encoded by this gene is expressed in fetal cochlea, however, its function is not known. HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY DFNA5 (RC210515, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-DFNA5.

Immunohistochemistry: Dfna5 deafness Antibody - Most of the normal cells showed strong cytoplasmic positivity. Glial cells displayed moderate cytoplasmic staining in a fraction of cells. A majority of the malignant cells displayed moderate cytoplasmic immunoreactivity. Several cases of lymphomas, melanomas, thyroid, colorectal, ovarian, endometrial cancers and cholangiocarcinomas showed strong positivity.
