BackgroundCCL21 belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. It inhibits hemopoiesis and stimulates chemotaxis. It shows preferential activity towards naive T-cells. CCL21 plays a role in mediating homing of lymphocytes to secondary lymphoid organs (1).
