Vector: pCMV6-Entry QM Insert Size: 2574 Restriction Site: SgfI-MluI
Sequence Data: Fully Sequenced ORF
OTI Disclaimer: Our molecular clone sequence data has been matched to the reference identifier above as a point of reference. Note that the complete sequence of our molecular clones may differ from the sequence published for this corresponding reference, e.g., by representing an alternative RNA splicing form or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP).
Product Components: The cDNA clone is shipped in a 2-D bar-coded Matrix tube as dried plasmid DNA. The package also includes 100 pmols of both the corresponding 5' and 3' vector primers in separate vials. Every lot of primer is tested to provide clean sequencing of OriGene TrueClones.

Gene Summary: Differentially targeted protein that binds to type I and II regulatory subunits of protein kinase A. Anchors them to the cytoplasmic face of the mitochondrial outer membrane or allows them to reside in the endoplasmic reticulum. Does not contain the classic KDEL endoplasmic reticulum-targeting sequence. This explains how it is able to switch its localization, either being in the endoplasmic reticulum or in the mitochondria depending on which N-terminal part begins the isoform. The longest N-terminal part only present in isoform 2 and isoform 4 acts as a suppressor of mitochondrial targeting and as an activator of recessive endoplasmic reticulum targeting motif.
