OriGene Data
Vector: pCMV6-Entry QM Insert Size: 1380 Restriction Site: SgfI-MluI
Sequence Data: Fully Sequenced ORF
OTI Disclaimer: Our molecular clone sequence data has been matched to the reference identifier above as a point of reference. Note that the complete sequence of our molecular clones may differ from the sequence published for this corresponding reference, e.g., by representing an alternative RNA splicing form or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP).
Product Components: The cDNA clone is shipped in a 2-D bar-coded Matrix tube as dried plasmid DNA. The package also includes 100 pmols of both the corresponding 5' and 3' vector primers in separate vials. Every lot of primer is tested to provide clean sequencing of OriGene TrueClones.
Reference Data
RefSeq Explanation: NM_021462.4, NP_067437
RefSeq Size: 3448 RefSeq ORF: 1380
Synonyms : 2010016G11Rik; Gprk7; Mnk2
LocusID: 17347 Cytogenetic: 10|10 C1
Gene Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is a serine/threonine-protein kinase, which is targeted by both the extracellular signal-regulated kinase and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase pathways. This enzyme targets several substrates including eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E and mammalian target of rapamycin, which are negatively regulated by its phosphorylation. Null mutant mice do not exhibit developmental or reproductive defects. However, mice null for both this protein and mitogen-activated protein kinase-interacting serine/threonine protein kinase 1 have delayed tumor development in phosphatase and tensin homolog mutant mice, indicating an oncogenic function for this gene in tumor development.
