OTI Annotation: This clone was engineered to express the complete ORF with an expression tag. Expression varies depending on the nature of the gene.
OTI Disclaimer: The molecular sequence of this clone aligns with the gene accession number as a point of reference only. However, individual transcript sequences of the same gene can differ through naturally occurring variations (e.g. polymorphisms), each with its own valid existence. This clone is substantially in agreement with the reference, but a complete review of all prevailing variants is recommended prior to use. More info
Product Components: The ORF clone is ion-exchange column purified, transfection-ready dried plasmid DNA, and shipped with 2 vector sequencing primers.

Reference Data
RefSeq Explanation: NM_007556.2, NP_031582 RefSeq Size: 2410 RefSeq ORF: 1533
Synonyms : D13Wsu115e; Vgr1
LocusID: 12161 Cytogenetic: 13 A3.3|13 18.15 cM
Gene Summary: This gene encodes a member of the transforming growth factor beta superfamily of regulatory proteins that plays an important role in the process of bone and cartilage development. The encoded preproprotein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a disulfide linked homodimeric glycoprotein. Mice lacking the encoded protein exhibit delayed ossification and hemochromatosis.
