OTI Disclaimer: The molecular sequence of this clone aligns with the gene accession number as a point of reference only. However, individual transcript sequences of the same gene can differ through naturally occurring variations (e.g. polymorphisms), each with its own valid existence. This clone is substantially in agreement with the reference, but a complete review of all prevailing variants is recommended prior to use. More info
Product Components: The ORF clone is ion-exchange column purified, transfection-ready dried plasmid DNA, and shipped with 2 vector sequencing primers.

Summary: The nucleoside diphosphate (NDP) kinases (EC 2.7.4.6) are ubiquitous enzymes that catalyze transfer of gamma-phosphates, via a phosphohistidine intermediate, between nucleoside and dioxynucleoside tri- and diphosphates. The enzymes are products of the nm23 gene family, which includes NME4 (Milon et al., 1997 [PubMed 9099850]).[supplied by OMIM, May 2008]. Transcript Variant: This variant (4) contains an alternate exon in the 5' UTR and initiates translation at an alternate downstream start codon compared to variant 1. The resulting isoform (d) is shorter at the N-terminus compared to isoform a. Variants 4, 5, 6, and 7 all encode the same isoform (d). Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the publications that are available for this gene. Please see the Gene record to access additional publications. ##Evidence-Data-START## Transcript exon combination :: AL523860.3, BQ650649.1 [ECO:0000332] RNAseq introns :: single sample supports all introns ERS025082, ERS025083 [ECO:0000348] ##Evidence-Data-END## ##RefSeq-Attributes-START## gene product(s) localized to mito. :: reported by MitoCarta ##RefSeq-Attributes-END## COMPLETENESS: complete on the 3' end.
